Thank you for booking for your FIRST AYAMA Artichoke Festival Tickets! We are aiming to make of this event an annual appointment for everyone to enjoy, know and experience this amazing vegetable.
A BIT OF INFORMATION ABOUT THE EVENT
PLEASE NOTE that we are NOT selling tickets at the gate as WE ARE SOLD OUT.
TIPS AND INFO FOR ATTENDING GUESTS
As majority of you are still newbies to the Ayamafanatics, as hosts, we would like you to live your best experience at Ayama, and therefore, a few tips for the day are a necessity .
ENTRANCE AND PARKING
As you arrive at the entrance, there will be a gate. Frederick will ask you for your name and how many tickets you have booked, to confirm your right to entry of the Festival. If you print or have your tickets on your phone, it will make everything easier.
You will be then directed to parking spots. Our Ayama team will be along the route, and guide you to the allocated parking sites. If you have any difficulties on walking and you need parking closer to the venue, please point this out to one of the Ayama Team. We will accommodate you at best.
Before entering the venue, you will be given 5 vouchers for EACH ticket booked. These vouchers entitle you to receive 4 food courses and a glass of our prestine AYAMA Vermentino 2017.
There will be enough chairs and tables to seat everyone comfortably at your leisure and pleasure. The tables are big enough to share with other guests, and makes a very good way to meet new people, most probably of Italian origin.
FOOD AND VERMENTINO
Food will be cooked at the moment and served to you at the AYAMA VERANDA/MILL. You will need to get there with your vouchers and choose what you want to eat first, there is no fixed sequence. For those sitting slightly away from the food stall, the Ayama team will help carrying the tray if needed.
Please note that food is fully VEGETARIAN. No Vegan options this time.
Please bring your own containers if a doggie-bag wanted.
The AYAMA Vermentino 2017 stall will be close by. AYAMA glasses will be given to you. Keep your glass for the entire function as you will need it for more wine! Please return it at the end of the day by just leaving it on the table.
Don’t rush or worry about getting to the stalls on time, THERE IS PLENTY of food for everyone!
MORE WINE, WATER, COOL DRINKS AND COFFEE
You can purchase more wine to enjoy your stay, from the AYAMATECA and WINE TASTING ROOM.
Payment will be easy via cash or credit/debit cards. There will be a coffee/cool drinks stall. We have the pleasure of having VIDA E CAFFE to help us serving you at best.
DONATION TO PERDJIE SCHOOL
By purchsing extra wine and coffee/cool drinks you will be contributing greatly to the PERDJIE SCHOOL. Both AYAMA and VIDA E CAFFE are donating part of the income of the day to our creche project, as we still need to finalize the so much needed BUS for more kids in the area to attend to the Perdjie School.
KIDS
There will be complimentary chips and pizzas for your beloved little ones. PLEASE CONFIRM, if not done so yet, HOW MANY KIDS (AND THEIR AGE) you are bringing with. We want to give the max attention to them.
PETS
Please let us know if you are bringing pets. Dogs need to be on the leash to avoid troubles.
RAFFLE! 1 weekend stay at our Guest house, AYAMA ROCKHOUSE, for 8 people!!
For any purchase at the AYAMATECA, you will be given a YOCO receipt with a unique number. On the 19th of October we will announce the winner.
You can buy fresh artichokes, wines, crafts, pasta, cheese, chocolate, Italian wines, Grappa, Ayama flour and many other items. Christmas is around the corner, you might find the perfect gifting here!
DRESS CODE
We are proudly sharing our Perdeberg piece of Paradise. A farm that loves freedom, especially on dress code! Casual and comfortable shoes are ideal.

We have this set up to assist any need. Any problems you might have, please refer to one of our Ayama team.
DIRECTIONS TO THE FESTIVAL
To come to us, the best way is GOOGLE MAPS: Ayama wines.
If you are a IT dinosaur like me, here below directions from CAPE TOWN:
Exit 47 – Klapmuts, Wellington, Stellenbosch. TAKE direction towards WELLINGTON. After 12/14 km. you will see Windmeul Cellar on your left. TURN LEFT following VOOR PAARDEBERG sign and drive for 10 km. At PERDEBERG CELLAR – keep going another 2 km and you will reach a cross – take your RIGHT to VOOR PAARDEBERG. 3 km ahead AYAMA SIGN will be your left.
Coming from Paarl crossing the R44 or from Wellington on the R44, take your left at the sign VOOR PAARDEBERG. Drive straight (10km) to the T junction. Take left, 1 km ahead AYAMA sign will be your right.
